I like olives, and so I had looked forward to adding green olives to the pasta that I cooked all last week for lunch. Unfortunately the olives tasted too much of the vinegar they were packed in, so my question is this: How do you get your olives to taste like olives instead of tasting of vinegar, which is so much less delicious?
My pasta tasted more like olives when I drizzled it with olive oil. It was very disappointing.

Buy the olives at Target that are bottled in a Merlot.....just ask Dan....they are yummy....if you like olives ;)
That does sound delicious, but probably a bit outside my price range. I don't shop at Target very often. Does this mean that you, Shelly, don't like olives?
You can buy plain olives at the olive bar at Bruno's (near the bakery). They are expensive, but since they are purchase-by-the-pound you can buy just a few for only a little $$$.
Whole Foods in B'ham (off 280) has an excellent olive bar if you ever get a chance to go there.
I love olives.
Hmmm, I am very picky. I eat them in food, not alone, unless paired with the right foods/drinks....I will eat olives and I really like olive pate on good bread....just depends how they are served. I like them on pizza... not a fan of green! I also like to buy them at Publix off their bar....The jar is around $5, so yes, a bit steep for everyday but great for special occasions! (Like every time I need a gift for Dan :)
I take that back, I am one of the least picky eaters I know, I mean I am picky with my olives.... when eaten alone!
